Accommodations

The Alaskan Host Bed and Breakfast opened its doors in 1996. Your hosts, Kathy and Jim Huston, live in a spacious home on two-hundred acres with a private lake and hiking trails. Moose and other Alaskan wildlife are frequent visitors to the peaceful estate.

The Snowed Inn is located in the heart of pristine Matanuska Susitna Valley just 40 minutes north of Anchorage. The perfect place to stay on your way to and from Denali National Park. Conveniently located between Palmer and Wasilla, the Inn offers two large suites with private baths, a private entrance, and a balcony. 

The Best Western Lake Lucille Inn is a modern and luxurious hotel located in Wasilla, which is 45 minutes from Anchorage featuring deluxe rooms and suites, many of which offer balconies overlooking beautiful Lake Lucille.

The Mountain View RV Park Is located in the Chugiak Mountain Range, nestled up against Lazy Mountain. Guest's are not suprised to find Moose walking through the Park. Watching Sheep and Moose graze along the scenic mountains is easy and exciting.

Buy your fishing license online at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game License and Permits web site.

Visit the Mat Su King Salmon Derby for you King Salmon Derby information, be sure to buy your derby ticket before your fishing trip.

The Musk Ox Farm is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and domestication of the musk ox, Ovibos moschatus for the purpose of providing additional subsistence income opportunities for Alaska’s first people.

View wild life at the Reindeer farm. They offer a variety of enjoyable Alaskan activities, including reindeer tours, a gift shop, horse rides, and nearby hiking trails. Feed and pet these majestic northern animals and you may even see elk, moose, and blacktail deer.

Ride the scenic Alaska Railroad and view the Alaskan wild from the railroad.

Visit the Independence Mine and the historical Hatcher Pass.

View North America's highest peak, Mount McKinley and Denali National Park
